Malvern Hills Elim Church

– Insight

Malvern Hills Elim Church found themselves lost in terms of reaching their community when Covid-19 hit and the church was unable to meet in person or do ‘church’. We were given the brief to help bridge the gap between the church leaders, the local community and church members, bringing them together online.

– Solution

We created a social media plan for communicating through Facebook and keeping church members up to date through daily posts online. We also used Facebook Ads to help launch their Online Alpha Course to reach into the wider community. Finally we were able to train the church in how to use Facebook to continue to communicate effectively once our project had finished.

– Impact

A very positive response from both the audience and the church family. Everyone encouraged the use of ‘online church’ and regular interaction took place. The Facebook page engagement rates increased (1st month example):

  • Post engagement: up 47%
  • Total reach: up 17%
  • Page clicks: up 336%
  • Page fans: up 30%
